I know it doesn't seem like it
But I just want to make it easy
Fly through the one year like it's breezy
Throw it back, no photos
Because you tease me
Whisper I love you
And show you how much you mean to me

I'm down for the ride, no Jhene
But Aiko everywhere you go
I want to stay
Been reaching for this moment
Since way past last May
Been trying to pick up the lost time
That was unfortunately delayed
Packed up my bags
And made my way
Didn't know where we were heading
But I drew my play
Don't know where this is going
But I'll always say
There's light behind the dark clouds
When the skies are grey

We both knew this wasn't going to be smooth
The fact that I'm young
I still have things to improve
As a newly independent woman
I still have things I need to do
And to be honest
Words not even enough
Certain things I just have to prove
