Little Arms Of Love Poem by Louis H. Thompson

Little Arms Of Love

The sweetest thing to me
This side of heavens gate
Are those little arms of love
That's too young to hate

They spur me on through life
As nothing else could do
They make the time pass away
Outstretched when day is through

I can not help but feel
A touch of God's sweet hand
Who gave me such a treasure
Not found throughout the land

For nothing I would trade
To have to own to keep
For those little arms of love
When 'round my neck they creep

Please help me guide his steps
As through this life we stroll
For God I love this little girl
You have given me to hold
