Little Red Chair Poem by fiona evans

Little Red Chair

I sat,
I waited,
On my little red chair.
Day after day I would wait,
Wait for you to meet me there,
At my little red chair.
Though you continued,
Not to come.
I would still wait,
not losing my hope.
Unlike some,
I was just a little girl,
With a lot of hope.
This little girl has grown up.
And day by day,
Minute by minute,
The little girls hope,
Slowly diminished
And then it was no more,
Gone,
Just like you daddy dearest.
