Live Poem by Joe Williams

Live

Live for the now and live for the present because one day things might no be so pleasant

Don't get frustrated don't get mad
And don't think back to those memories you could've had

You only live once so don't embrace death
Live while you can don't dwell on the final breath

As you get older don't be sad
instead be thankful for all that you had

And When you're old and weak don't be full of regret,
Remember the times you won with tears blood and sweat

You get one chance so don't screw it up
But when your days come to an end, don't blame it on luck.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this as I watched one of my best friends(an older gentleman) deteriorate as he got older an I vowed to myself I would never be that way.
