Live Your Life Poem by John Hazon Palen

Live Your Life

Real peace inside eludes me.
Think I'm gonna break.
I see myself not as me,
Always have been weak.

I don't want to be afraid,
Need to change my ways.
I'll stand believing myself,
Care not what they say.

Holding on while days dragged on.
Got new perception..
I ain't all in oblivion;
My set's what I own!

No more hiding fears upon
a smile,
And my aim's still high.
They're tryna tear me apart,
Never thought I'd get this far.

Deep inside my very heart,
Now I see the light.
It says: Keep flying higher,
Set your doubts on fire...

Give yourself no pretension.
Honestly dream on.
Live your life at your full best.
Being fake's a mess.
