Lived True - A Song Poem by Ansul Noor

Lived True - A Song

If you've lived true,
And you die young,
The game is already won,
Don't expect applause,
Just be bold and proud,
That you've lived true.

No matter what they say,
No matter what they do,
No one can break the inner shrine of you,
You are the king/queen in a realm of your own,
Nothing else should matter to you,
Cause you've lived true.

Whatever the past,
or future holds,
Won't make them love or hate you any more,
Just be free, let your soul fly,
Just know you've tried.

Haters will hate,
Lovers will love,
Enemies lots,
And friends few,
Shouldn't matter one bit to you,
If you've lived true.

Diving into depths so real,
Decisions made, make life clear,
Poor or rich, young or old,
These things don't matter anymore,
Cause your heart is gold.

Memories last until time dissolves,
Only the spark of a good deed lasts,
Small or big, don't matter what it's about,
Cause you've lived true

Lying in the grave so dark,
It's not you, but a garment you've tossed,
Your soul rides high,
The rest is history,
Cause you've lived true.
