The word of God has clearly shown
Yet few have understood
That God will build a house of stone
A house of from flesh and blood
God’s stones my friend are you and I
Redeemed and free of shame
Assembled to the Lord on high
To magnify His name
Of living stone God’s house must be
Honourable true upright
For only those God’s face will see
Who’s robe is shining white
No lime, cement, gravel nor sand
No tool of iron or steel
Yet God will raise His mighty hand
To make His promise real
From every land The Builder calls
He knows each stone by name
Yet ere He builds us in His walls
We must go through The Flame
The Fire will test for fault and stress
For soundness depth and height
Proven stones, The Lord will dress
To form His house of light
For some these words could be grave news
Not any; stone will do!
The Lord our God can pick and choose
And lives are plain in view
It’s how we live and serve on earth
If now we seek God’s face
It’s then stones find, through second birth
Within God’s house their place…
