Living Without Letting Poem by Rachel Henley

Living Without Letting

I spend seconds alone,
Throwing smiles, giving waves.
I spend minutes alone,
Engaging in conversations.
I spend hours alone,
Watching movies with someone.
I spend days alone,
Travelling with my lovers.
I spend months alone,
Living with my contemporaries.
I spend years alone,
Getting by with whoever is selected.
I spent a lifetime, alone.
