Locked Away Poem by Cilia Rose

Locked Away

You sit beyond the Ocean
With No one to love you
No one to bring you gifts on your Birthday
You feel your Birthday was not wanted
You feel No one knows you're there
You ask yourself, "Why did God make me? "
People bring food to you everyday
But you never can really taste it
Because you're always choking on your tears
You feel yourself aging
But nothing is changing
You're still alone and scared
You feel like you're suffocating on your own air
You look up and notice
You can never see the blue sky
Or the beautiful dark nights
You never see the bright stars
You never can feel the wind
Because you're in your metal box
The Air is still
You feel like you're in jail
Except no one comes to visit you
You can always cry
Because no one can see your tears
You feel yourself falling apart
You feel so far from the world
But you're on it
And you figure out your purpose
Is to die alone
