Loneliness Poem by rida zainab

Loneliness

I am all alone
The birds have flown.
The sun has risen like never before,
Encapturing the landscape in its glore.

Nothing is what it seems,
Clear: the sand in the sun, gleams
Cool is the breeze caressing my nape,
Brilliance of the Creator: all I can do is gape.

Complications: a life is bound to be
Slowly, my anger seeps into the sea
As the waves splash the shore,
Crash my anger with the energy they store.

Integrity is what I look for,
Shatter I do when I find not that at core...
Expectations, expectations: I do not understand
Fulfill them: I do, while others put me on a stand

Breathe out: slowly, slowly...I let go
Painful it is, but continue the flow
Purification of the soul is done for the day,
Tomorrow: my insides will again go grey

Come, next morrow
Restless I will wake & be filled with sorrow
For, I'll be here alone
And wait: Till the birds have flown
