Loneliness Poem by sandra barnett

Loneliness

Rating: 4.0

loneliness is an illness
its the silence and the stillness
has loneliness ever been cured
it is not the drink that makes your words slurred
it can´t be the drug that makes your vision blurred
loneliness is the pain of wanting to be wanted
am i the only one loneliness has ever taunted
why has it picked me, why has it picked you?
it follows me it is sticky as glue
loneliness is not actual lonely
just the thought of loneliness is a phoney
