Loneliness Is My Lover Poem by Ester Angy

Loneliness Is My Lover

I can’t get rid of you, you are always following me.
Why is it that when I start to love, I end up being with you.
Don’t I deserve something better, then have you around me.
I want to share this love with someone else, can’t you see.

Maybe you are my soul mate, and I don’t see this through.
Maybe this is my happy ending, my purpose to hold on to.

But maybe just maybe I will be able to be free of you.
But no! dreams are foolish thoughts impossible to come true.
I better call you my lover and stick beside you.
others will leave me but you oh loneliness will always stick like glue.
