Lonely Poem by Neil Glass

Lonely

How the darkness clouds over me when I’m alone,
How the loneliness twists my mind,
Where has all the happy thoughts gone.

Sinking deep down into the darkness,
It gets harder and harder to lift myself out of the claws of depression.

The thoughts of love ones disappear,
Fading into the blackness,
Pulling me down to depts never reached before.

Like a noose around my neck, I can feel it tighten,
A strangle hold steeling my every breath,
Where has all the love gone?
