Lonely Actions Poem by Sofia Munoz

Lonely Actions

On a rainy, gloomy day
A young girl left alone
At home with no one to express
what she is feeling in her chest

Looking at her phone
Seeing if it will ever light up
So she can give out a groan
And let out what is in her head

As soon as the sun went down
and the moon came up
She knew that this feeling
Was pure loneliness

When morning came
She saw her favorite face
To let the disappointment
Just come in again

But just before the feeling overcame
She started to say
Silly weirdness
To not let the pain reign

Her friends showing how annoying
And being mean and fake
She unplugged the drain
Resulting in her being friendless

As the time went on
She learned to be in soultide
Letting the truth be shown
So peace may come out instead of hatred
