Lonely Person
Every person
Is a lonely person,
But doesn't realize it,
Until it starts to hurt.
The loneliness
Is buried
Under layers
Of activity and commitment.
Take away those
The loneliness is exposed
And it starts to hurt.
The lonely person
Thinks he or she is a special case.
So do the others.
They treat the lonely person like a contagion,
Which the lonely person isn't.
