Long Ago. Poem by Poet Priyanka Singh

Long Ago.

Rating: 5.0

You told me about you being a bibliophile

and that I was your favorite book,

And now that time has passed by I understand how

honest my lover is.

I understand that I'm a book.

That book in your cupboard,

Not your favorite one,

But the one you shut two years ago

To never open again,

The one you pass by without a glimpse each time

But yet don't throw away

That sits dusting in your shelf,

Hoping to be read again

With the same love,

you once opened it with,

Long ago.

Long Ago.
