Long Distance Poem by Jeffrey Taylor

Long Distance

Rating: 1.0

All I can do

Is sit here thinking of you

It kills me that I can't see

Face to face your external beauty

So sweet, so caring

Your love I don't feel like sharing

It's a prized possession I hold near to me

Nobody can touch and nobody can see

I tell my friends and they just laugh

But they don't realize the love we have

We've only known each other for a short time

But all along I've been trying to make you mine

Has it worked? I think so

And now that I have you I don't want to let go

I hate that you live so far away

But we'll be together someday
