Long Gone Poem by Destry Miller

Long Gone

My bright summer days
Are long gone
The cold frigid emptiness
Is all around
The bitter winter
Will carry on
It's heartless cruelty
Will astound
The summer warmth
Is not in sight
It's sunshined wind
No longer felt
Long and unforgiving
Are the nights
If only this suffering
Would all melt
Melt away
to honey dew
Melt away these
Frozen tears
Sun filled skies
You are too few
Please take away
My icy fears
