Long the day seems
Dragging through the mid morn hours
Crest upon the afternoon
Birds chirp leaves rustle
The world seems slower
Oh how long the day seems
Evening light flows through
The trees in a surreal play
The actors, squirrels and robins
And all the little animals
We the spectators as the
Day drags on and on
Oh how long the day seems
Evening leaves way to night
Night leaves way to sleep
And the play starts again
As the dawn breaks we lay
Wondering where are days have gone
