Long White Cloud Poem by jay McConnell

Long White Cloud

On my knees I stand
With your bible in my hand
you raped my daughter, burnt the land
Gorse and blackberry cover the hills, destroyed my will
kiwi and Tui in retreat
sheep and cow devour the trees
if only i could get off my bloodied knees
