Longing The Mountain Poem by Leen Nofal

Longing The Mountain

Oh, how I wish I could go to the mountains
As it stands like a soldier
With the height of a thousand men

White pearls of snow fall on top
creating a blanket

how I hope to hear the grizzle bears bawl
as the wild wolves weep

the ice-cold rivers
make the animals quiver

how I hope to hear the wind howl
while it hits the mountain with a strong force

seeing the mountain may only be a dream
but I shall someday make it real
