Dean Loughin

Longing To Believe - Poem by Dean Loughin

I saw what I wanted to see
and believed we were meant to be

No one, no one, as happy as I
Rolling along and living my lie

Oh what a dark awakening
to find that love was never there

I look back
hoping I have learned
from the past

All I see...

Burning embers
soot and ash.
