Look Poem by Paige DeRogatis

Look

Look into my eyes, and tell me what you see

Do you see a girl that's trapped inside fighting to be free?

There's a girl who tells you endless lies and turns her back from you

The girl that yells until she cries and yet you have no clue

The girl that hides within her room and thrives in isolation

That girl that feels great pain inside and searches for salvation

She didn't used to be this way, there was a time she smiled

When she was filled with innocence, a carefree, hopeful child

Those days are gone forever, but she wishes to go back

She's not the girl she used to be, her mind's under attack

She can't buy back her happiness because it has no cost

Stare into my eyes once more and find the girl I lost

Love this poem, it gives you the desire to set the girl free. Hope you find your freedom also.
