Look Away Poem by Clara Diskley

Look Away

Rating: 4.5

Some times I wish that I could look away.
It's only because at times it terrifying just to look.
I don't want to witness this or remember this.
I wish that things from the past would go away.
That the memories of tears would be erased.
Those sad rainy days where I sobbed all day.
I wish that someday it could soon go away.
Because the past still feels the same.
Everyday is just another repeat of yesterday.
And I'm there just glancing at it all.
Looking around and thinking so many things.
Sometimes it's truly difficult to believe everything.
To believe what you hear or what you thought you saw.
They never really notice what's around them.
Or sometimes you can't look away but you do anyway.

i think for a younger poet starting out you are doing just fine. but remember poetry isn't just fun to do. it's more of from the heart and your inner feelings. target something that really overwhelms your thoughts and just type away...don't worry about reading and altering till your thoughts have all been wrote..then proof read, adjust..spell check and put it out there...liked or not it is you speaking...and what you say is what matters..not the critics....good luck and good write......thanks for the read on this one... :)
