Staring up, looking out
into a brand new world.

My heart at peace,
in this moment y life calm serenity.

Gazing at far away lands,
with wonder and delight.

How can it be so far away,
and yet so close to home?

You can not see them in the day,
only with the dark of night.

They are beautiful as they may
they twinkle, shine and fly.

They light up the sky,
with each caring caress, each dance of happiness.

No need to to care about the world,
as long as they are there.

To tell me how, to guide my way,
to show me what is real.

So long as I am here with them,
I will be safe.

Tucked in so gently under a blanket of stars!
