I look down
At pictures of the past.
Of the friends I had for so long,
And were always around.

There is only a little time left,
I must savor these moments.
Retrace my steps,
So these memories come back potent.

Will these places and people
Fade into the past?
Or will they cling to me
Like the ones I try to forget?

I can’t believe the time
Is almost here.
The time to embark on a new journey
That will define me.
I must not approach it with fear.
