Looking Back Poem by Tracey Pierce

Again once more the earth turns around, season's leaves fall to the ground, I remember the warmth of our summer's love,
It felt like a blessing sent from above.

I wish the nights shadows would have lasted longer, I sit here now and I begin to wonder, were my feelings for you that much stronger?

I think to myself about the time that we shared,
and how it seem to slip away...

Now the dawn breaks,
it's the beginning of a new day....

I look back once more...
Many times have I looked back.....
The coldest of days in that late December... I'll always remember..
I am left with nothing but memories of what might have been,
could have been,
should have been....
And now all I can do, is look back....
