Health And Wealth
We squander our health in search of wealth,
We scheme, borrow and save.
Then squander wealth in search of health,
only to end up in the grave.
We live and boast of what we own,
flaunting our goods so they can be shown,
not even caring for the poor...
'Now look at that lovely stone upon the floor.'
Again once more the earth turns around, season's leaves fall to the ground, I remember the warmth of our summer's love,
It felt like a blessing sent from above.
I wish the nights shadows would have lasted longer, I sit here now and I begin to wonder, were my feelings for you that much stronger?
I think to myself about the time that we shared,
and how it seem to slip away...
