Time I loosen the ties that bind
And try to get myself free from this hell
Need to break through the illusion
Climb back up from the bottom of the well

That's not to say I won't miss you
At least a little every now and then
True I've never loved before you
But that doesn't mean I can't love again

Though you'll always be my first love
And you'll be impossible to forget
I feel it's time to move on now
And try to pretend we never met

I am drained of all emotion
And my heart lies in fragments on the floor
It's just as broke as it can get
There's no way you can break it any more

Time I gather my heart's pieces
And put them together as I grieve
I might just find the strength to go
If you don't call after me as I leave
