Lord, I Am Listening Poem by Marquita Lawson

Lord, I Am Listening

You've wakened me from my slumber with a voice so sweet and low
Your message is of a distant land, Lord, are You telling me to go?
You say there are lost people You see from Your throne above
That to this place You're calling me to bring Your truth, Your hope and love
Oh, Lord, I am listening, I'll follow You anywhere
I trust Your love so Divine, my life is in Your care.

"Feed my sheep", You've told me many times in my dreams
In my waking hours, now I find I hear echos of their screams
"Come now, I have work for you, the harvest time is near
Come now live your life for Me, you have nothing to fear"
Oh, Lord I am listening, I'll follow You to this land
For You laid down Your life for me, for YOU I'll take this stand

Holy Spirit guide me, always stay beside me
And I'll go any….where…..for You
Oh, Lord, I am listening, the time to go is neigh
I'll always follow willingly, and Praise Your name on High
I'll always follow willingly, and Praise Your name on High
