Losing You Poem by Angela Wybrow

Losing You

It feels like I no longer exist,
As, from your life, I've been dismissed;
I try my best to show a brave face,
But, within my heart, there's an empty space.

Every day, you pass me by,
And, every day, I question why;
It feels like I've been banished to 'no man's land':
But what I've done wrong, I just can't understand.

Good times together, we now rarely share,
As, in my life, you are now rarely there;
To speak with you, I get little chance,
As, all I see of you is a fleeting glance.

I feel that there is a significant danger,
That you and I could end up as strangers;
I don't feel the closeness which we once had,
And it's making me feel really quite sad.

Our once strong bond is now growing weak,
And the future for me is looking quite bleak;
It seems to me that you no longer care
About what is right, reasonable or fair.

I share the thoughts within my mind,
But, to the damage you're doing, you're totally blind;
Within my heart, there's a real sense of loss,
But, over the issues, you quite happily gloss.

I never thought I would see the day,
When you would start behaving this
way;
Please wake up and hear my plea,
And see the damage you're doing to me.
