Loss Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Loss

I'm losing me...
Don't know, as to why
The people warn-
About imperceptible loss
Reminding me each time
Of the worth of me.

Who am I...?
A common question
Ask you, they and I...
Details of the background
For about, five to ten back
And the coming generations
The pedigree table-
I fail to provide.

I'm losing me...
For, I know not
Beyond or within me
I'm deaf, dumb and blind
I can't see or visualise
I'm unable to go afar
Into the rears of deep past
And remote future
Dark nooks and corners
Of the time of yore.

For, I'm helpless
Like every single one
With a sizzling feel to help
Someone, who is helpless,
But, I can't help myself.
