Loss Poem by Wesley Mincin

Loss

Loss

Walk through fire. Feel my pain.
Just know that I gave all for you.
Love was such an easy tool to use
either that or you used some old juju.

In the darkness I called thee
I heard no calling for my name
Lost and confused. I chose myself for blame
Then I thought of you...this petty game.

Losing you was such a fright
But still I wish to be set free
I waited for you on hand and knee
Yet my dreams were merely dreams

My love must have been in vain
As I waited for you. Day and night.
The pain I felt was just not right
And so I fade into the night
