Loss And Tragic Romance (Shakespearean Sonnet) Poem by ashok jadhav

Loss And Tragic Romance (Shakespearean Sonnet)

We loved as though the world could not destroy,
As stars conspire to light the darkest night;
Yet fate, unkind, stole half our fragile joy,
And left our hearts to bear the empty light.
Each word once whispered now returns as ache,
Each touch remembered deepens what is gone;
The hands that reached for mine could not partake,
And left the soul to mourn the breaking dawn.
Though tears may fall and memory may sting,
The shadowed love refuses to decay;
For even in the absence of the spring,
Its fragrance lingers where our hearts still sway.
O tragic love, both bitter and sublime,
Thy echo haunts the corridors of time.
