Lossing Anna - Poem by Rey Benipayo

If i could turn back time
i should never let you go
my Anna... my beloved Anna
a secret love of my life....

Anna, wherever you are
right at this moment i am alone
i hope you remember me
you remember our past

every time i remember you
every time i am alone, i cry
do you know, i hope you will
you are the greatest thing to me

if only i told you the truth
that i love you so much,
and i need you all my life
it never happened this way

you died in the accident
i still remember it's your birthday
on your grave days i cried much
it was a year from now

i am 55 years now,
i never loved a woman again
it is now that i know
the beat of my heart belongs to you

anna, wherever you are
i love... i always love you so much
i know we'll meet again
and it would be different.. promise.
