Lost Poem by mona joseph

Lost

It is my right and I am going to use it
If you want a wife just to cook your meals get a servant not a wife
Tell me why did you marry me? Were you looking for a mom?
Instead of waiting to be served how about serving me sometimes
So you are mad because your underwear is not white enough
Many women wishes they were me until they spend a day with us
You act like you own me. You love yourself so much that you cannot love anyone else
Rarely do you offer to help me around the house. You are so useless
It is time for you to start behaving like a true husband
God knows I am tired of your complaining and fretting
Have you any idea what it takes to be your doormat day in and day out
Take of your mask long enough to see my misery and hear my cries
A day has not gone by that I do not pray for your salvation
Nothing will give me greater pleasure and joy to see you saved
Don't you know that I am staying with you for God's sake and nothing else?
I know you are highly respected in the temple. Oh! well! you are so loved by all
Accept Christ as your savior and start enjoying your marriage
Make me a promise that even if you end up killing me you will ask Christ to be your Lord
Give me a reason to stay I am begging you please pretty please
Obey the voice of God and start being the husband you promise to be
If you don't know how, I can show you but please do something
No one marries to live in constant pain and agony with their spouse
God knew you then he knows you now and he still loves you
Take my advice and ask the Lord to deliver you from yourself
Open your heart to sound advice for I am tired of your putdowns
Until you realize your behavior is hurting your loved ones you will not change
Stop yelling and pushing me around I am a human being just like you
Every day I pray that this would be the day you change your mind and your ways
If you care about our children, please stop slapping me around and hurting me
Tell me something! Have you forgotten the day of our marriage? How happy we were!

For Mishuvah with love--Represent 2011
May you rest in peace!
