Lost Poem by DEB MITRA

Lost

Lost

When u sent your messages
Scribbled on notebook pages,
How I wished u could
Use the machine instead. Type on keyboards
As u had played your fingers on my chest.
I could then
Colour your messages as I would,
Zoom it, view the pixels bit by bit
Paste your lips as watermark
in my head.

But when u learnt
To use the email, I had changed
My address and lost the old password
So that I should not
Be able to find you on the net.
