Lost Abandon Poem by Chideraza Lowell

Lost Abandon

Rating: 5.0

My dream game pretence,

A reality of temporary bliss,

Our names engraved in mansions,

Only to find ourselves in a maze,

But we danced in an Eden,

A garden of kissing footsteps,

Summer's eve of a dream fulfilled,

Or so my mind perceived....

Traveling in unknown passions,

A velocity accelerating time,

Our hearts racing to Fortune's doorstep,

Only to be left knocking alone...

And I pay woe to such imagery,

An endless pity party,

A reoccuring theme,

My own hapless demise,

Emptied of happy abandon i thought true...

Such a cold and desolate space,

Where traces of us linger,

As traces of one caressed face,

Oh, à confusion crazed misfortune!

So I called out to you,

Only to hear my own echo,

Feel my stubborn hope-filled pulse,

 Witness our destinies drift apart,

And I still call out to you today,

Despite the awkward distance,

Despite your mystery queen,

Despite what's wrong and obscène

Even night refuses lullabies,

Choked with thoughts of why,

Nocturnally married to your shadow,

Yet dreams prefer no other suitor

For now I'm a lost cause,

Another wandering gypsy,

Receptive to no Other,

Just hoping tommorow is fairer,

But even tommorow won't do,

For I've lost such words to find you,

To keep, see, believe, and define you,

Wondering if you still care

Where are you deceiver in waiting?

Escaped the depths of potential?

Reveling in thé arms of a stranger?

Reminiscing in whats now a mirage?

Again I wonder steadily,

Forever lost in the sands of time

Burning candles in memory of joy

Fighting tears until dawn does us part
