Lost And Found Poem by anna flores

Lost And Found

There lay a girl, who had no where to go.
She was lost and knew she could never find her way back.
She knew that she would never know home.
She realized that she could never get back to that place
Her heart longed for.
So... she gave up.

There lay a girl who had no where to go,
For she had given into Misery's joy;
And threw herself into the arms of pain.

No more laughter, no more light.
Just the feeling of sorrow and loneliness.

No more joy, no more love.
Just the feeling of darkness smothering her,
Til' she can barely breathe,
And she begs to be set free.

She gets up and tried to walk,
But Misery and Hopelessness keeps her bound to her place.
She pushes and pulls with no victory.

She can hardly breathe.
But as she breathes out her last breathe of hope,
A light breaks through the endless night.
And although it is faint,
It is still there,
Waiting for her to come home.
