Lost Chapters Poem by Michelle Tiddy

Lost Chapters

Rating: 5.0

Sweet relief washes over me
My soul sighs as my heart mends
The last of the teardrops
Catches on my eylashes
Before it gently splashes on the page of life

I watch the dark, lonely mark
It leaves, as slowly, slowly it dries
And dissipates the pain inside
Soothing the dreadful ache
Leaving just a stain of a memory in my book

With sweet tenderness I carefully gather
The pages of my world together
The loose leaves are wildly scattered
But I will find them all and
Replace the chapters I have written in blood

An ironic smile plays upon my lips
It turns into a wide grin
In appreciation of all that has happened
All that has made me this person
And everything that has shown me how lucky I am

That I am free to dance and skip
And shout and cry 'Hallelujah'
Laughing and sharing and being me
That person I lost a while ago..
Is gradually coming back to life and reality

So thank you friends, one and all
For holding my hand when
I started to fall into the darkness
You pulled me out of the pit of deceit
And lovingly healed my fractured, broken spirit

I can once again be happy
That is all I have ever wanted
To enjoy this life that is full
Of riches, and joys and miracles
Finally, finally, I can breathe the sweetness..

The Chapters may have been lost in the bits of sadness in life, but your final chapter of healing here leaves one uplifted and shows the undaunted spirit of a triumphant soul~~! ! ! ! Elegant. marci :) x
