Lost Friends Poem by Tamell Bailey

Lost Friends

Lost Friends

I lost 2 friends, now they’re enemies,
So I wish that they would have never befriended me.

They helped me relieve stress; they helped me get over pain,
The made me believe the best, yes, they controlled my brain.
I gave them all my trust, my deepest emotions,
My time and my energy; was seeking their potions.
Apart they were nothing, together became strong,
Collectively used me to place all the blame on

I lost 2 friends, now they’re enemies,
So I wish that they would have never befriended me.

I had never felt strength, until I added me.
With one in my hands, powerful were us 3.
The other would get laid, whenever I wanted to;
It loved being kissed by the tip of the other tool.
Every time they kissed, was full of enchantment,
From the top to the bottom, it covered up every inch.

I lost 2 friends, now they’re enemies,
So I wish that they would have never befriended me.

I made one MAD, so it crinkled up and caved in,
While the other spilled blood all over the pavement.
When I finished using them, I’d hide them with quickness
Because I didn’t want it to be seen; what was written.
Attempted to take it all back, needed and eraser;
Trying hard to find my lost pen and paper.
