Lost Friends Poem by Shyuki Nawaii

I thought I know my friend
But, I thought wrong
Why so?
I thought I know her well
Really well, I suppose
But, I've thinking too far.

I thought I know my friend
When I know her secrets
But that doesn't mean anything
I thought she wouldn't forget
A promise that we made
As a sign of our loyal friendship.

I thought I know my friend
When I stay by her side
Give her courage
And said, ' It's okay, you'll be fine '
But it's futile.

I thought I know my friend
When we're fighting
Our bond will be strengthen
And everything will be normal
By one phrase, ' I'm sorry '
But everything went strange.

I thought I know my friend
When something happened
Our friendship will not be affected
And we can chat all the time
Sharing stories and love talk
Without any gap felt inside our hearts
But, I'm hoping too much.

I thought I know my friend
When we laugh on something
Shed our tears together
And wipe them with our little hands
And tell each other, ' I'm always with you '
A sweet and a warm words
But, it's too good to be true.

And now here I am
All alone...
Why?
Because of my thoughts
My silly thoughts, I guess
I...I thought I know my friend
But I'm just a spoilt kid
Wishing for a dream that's too good to be true
And so, my friend,
Where are you?
Where did all our promise go to?
Do you even remember that?
Did I...ever mean anything to you?
