Lost Friendships Poem by Ashley Root

Lost Friendships

Rating: 5.0

You promised to always be there,
But you walked away without a care.
Found a man and chose him over me,
And it was me that you would no longer need.
I begged you to be honest and you swore that you were,
But when he came in the picture you acted like a wh**e.
I walked away without a second thought,
It was easy because all we did then was fought.
Six months passed and I seemed fine,
But everyone that knew me knew that I was lyin'
We weren't just friends, it was so much more than that
We were like sisters and we always had each other's backs.
So now you're back wanting to be cool again,
To trust you again, I just don't know if I can.
I'm so confused, I don't know what to do,
I'm petrified to confide in you
There was a time when I thought we'd be friends forever
Maybe you've changed and will be honest
It a big chance, I don't know if I can take it
Perhaps it's classified as another lost friendship.

wonderful and heartfelt poem of a a broken friendship......sometimes its hard to trust again.......but sometimes the other who left found out while gone just how truly special you were.....**you dont know what you have until its gone** maybe reality hit her in the face......if she's truly sorry....you might want to consider a second chance for her (but its up to you hun) ! ! ! very nice right tho! !
