Lost Hope Poem by Wandering Scarlet

Lost Hope

Rating: 5.0

her head bears the weight of the earth
she doesn't know what her precious life is worth
its a dancing pixie in a cage
while it belongs glorified on stage
dancing the night, till dawn
but its heart seems to be gone
its ankles are broken
this once dancing pixie
is nothing but a worthless token
trapped in a cage of fear and loneliness
in the end it all come down to only this
the date is set in stone
her mind is torn limb from limb and bone from bone
no more can she walk on her own
now she sits all alone
by choice she has pushed the world away
never sees the light of day
she sleeps in the shadows of her fellow mortals
she knows no trust nor any morals
live or die, she will not cry
she jumps down the well
it leads to heaven or hell
either way, all is swell
