Lost In My Thoughts Tonight Poem by amira chowdhury

Lost In My Thoughts Tonight

Thinking about my feelings now, believing that it’ll all be alright
Knowing that life is a song with no rhythm, but it goes by in a sigh.
Simply forgotten, laid on the grass with torture and pain inside,
The vines and leaves covers my soul, as I just lay there tonight.
There is innocence behind my eyes, and love and truth that lies,
Sparkling so deep in my own blues, leaving all of my past behind.

I’m not blind anymore, so I’m letting go tonight.
I will settle my eyes on the heart of the moon, so I can ignore the world tonight.
Closed my eyes, deep in my thoughts wandering in space with delight,
The moonlight brush through my face, the wind blows with no regret,
The sunflowers filled with juice for the bees to suck through another day.
Another day I will wake up to cherish for what I have on sight.
To thank for the journeys I've been through in this world alone alright,
But right now, it isn't the right time, cause my mind with just mourn alone,
Alone in the deep shadow’s hollow of this dark night,
Where dreams glisten, and mistletoe shivers in winter frost bites.
