I hide behind a mask of tears,
Look up and see you're still here.
You hold out you hand to help me up,
But I've lost myself and can't find your hand.
You wander through frozen woods,
I'm behind you hiding in shadow, misunderstood.
You cry out for someone you know,
I cry back, silent as the falling snow.
Lost to myself, lost in me,
Searching, searching, trying to see.
You're in front of me, in full light,
Yet hidden from me, in plain sight.
I'm lost to the darkness, without sight,
Looking for you, among the soft light.
Without you I've lost myself within me,
I've lost all hold of reality.
