Lost In You Poem by Leonard Smalls

Lost In You

To be engulfed in your love
is the savior of my life
You have made me better, stonger
Less a fool More a tool
of Gods will and the goodness about me
For the part of me I lost
was that which needed to go
Away from me to be seen never again
All the weight of decisions wrong
have made me strong
but with no center to flow from
But you have worked
and I am strong - to play - to love - to live
To stand in amazement at it all
Anger reigns no more yet lurks back there
Willing to charge to the lead should I grow afraid and lonely again
I let my child go
He cowers no more in the corner
Told by his creators he should have never been
As he walks through a doorway drenched in sunshine
He looks back to me and whispers for only my ears
I am happy now, and free, and loved
