Lost My Mind Poem by Caroline Guedes

Lost My Mind

I've lost my mind
such a sweet thing to lose
Anyone with a mind would
not think of the things I do
And it's a beautiful illusion
to have a loss like this
I must say it is the least
painful loss I've experienced
I could go around shouting
'Where is my mind? '
But honestly, it wouldn't matter
I cannot change the effects of time
And it's such a sweet bliss
The fact that we think time controls
All the stuff of life, wisdom,
The grip we eventually lose hold
I wonder when I first lost it
Lost the will the think on my own
Although it appears all is well
I'm at an empty well with a skipping stone
Oh, but such a waste it is
to have a mind I could have used
Instead of poisoning my soul
I chose to lose my eternal youth
I've lost my mind
and it is such a sweet thing to lose
