Lost Point Poem by Daniel I Brown

Lost Point

The things I really want to say are probably
Better said with nothing
Since anything I use
Doesn’t seem to help
My suggestions in writing and rhyme
My opinions on matters of space and time
Never transpose the way I’d prefer for you to see
Never quite listed as I’d like them to be
It’s not a question of will or want
Rather a question of my hand’s tuning
Of my minds processing for the moment
It all must come together in that moment
THE moment
When all your ideas and desires and everything you wanted to say
Comes out in the perfect line
But in the end what I have to say means nothing
As I am nothing
And the life I live is futile, hopeless, and full of fear and regret
Therefore my statements…
Are not something to take seriously
