Lost Pt1 The Girl - Poem by GodBody O.G

Let me tell you
about
a girl I know.
Not interested in fame
doesn't
chase the dough.
All she wants is love
and
someone who would care.
But everywhere she goes
all
people do is stare.
In school she is an
outcast
all because she is smart.
A's in all her subjects
and
her favorite one is art.
Quietly she draws a world
that
she can escape through.
Where moms and dads listen
and
friends will stay true.
No longer does she linger
late
after the bell has rung
because of Mr. Caldwell and
all
the bad things he has done.
When she turned 13 she
didn't
know why she was bleeding
and mom wouldn't explain about
all
the things she would be needing.
Everynight a monster visits
and
crawls beneath her sheet.
So she sits alone in her room
and
cries herself to sleep.
Thinking it's all her fault
she
was told so by her mom.
And no one else will
listen
they've all just up and gone.
Her big brother pushes her
around
and shows her no respect.
Big sister's always out
and
shows her no regret.
Dad left the family
when
she was very young
and everyone blames her
with
evils from their tongue.
They stopped going to
church
when daddy went away.
Where he went and
why
no one would ever say.
The truth she'll never know
her
dad died for his country
but all she can think
is
'why does no one love me? '
Feeling all the pressure
thinking
the world is cruel and mean.
The saddest part of it
all
is she's only seventeen
She's got no place to
turn
and she's got no real friend.
So for her, life's only
choice
is to bring it to an end.
